Is H2S Alive legally mandatory in Alberta?
Most oil and gas operators in Alberta require H2S Alive as a condition of site access, built into their own safety programme and typically verified through ISNetworld.
What’s the difference between H2S Alive and a generic toxic gas course?
H2S Alive is specific to hydrogen sulphide and developed by Energy Safety Canada, with standardised recognition across the Canadian O&G industry. Generic gas courses don’t carry that recognition.
How long does the certificate last?
Three years from the course completion date.
